Hints on Exhibiting

It can be difficult knowing exactly what the judges are looking for. We recommend the book Great British Village Show, which is available from the RHS (and from Amazon, which often has second-hand copies). This book explains what the judges are looking for and what to avoid in your fruit and vegetable entries. Ignore the points available as we do not follow these exactly, especially for the collection of vegetables. There is also a section on Homecraft – what we call “Domestic” in our Show.
